Working language

Spanish will be the official working language. Spanish-English and English-Spanish translation will be offered at the opening and closing sessions, at plenary sessions and others selected upon criterion of the Organizing Committee.
Guidance to prepare the communications
Communications will be presented according to the main topics of the Congress and the topics dealt with in the several forms.
Specifications
There is a 10-page limit for each communication to be presented. In exceptional cases, if more space is required, spaces between lines (1 space) shall be reduced instead of using smaller fonts.
Please attach the curriculum vitae synthesis of authors, presenting the most relevant professional aspects, 200 pages at most.
The text will be written in the languages of the congress: Spanish. Use Microsoft Office XP text processor in its 2007 or 2003 version.
Page size will be letter – 81/2 X 11”, with 2.5 cm margins, justified text, Arial 12 font, 1.5 spaces between lines.

Page number should be on page bottom and center. Footnotes should be written using single spaces, only one line and on page bottom.

Paper size will not exceed 1 Megabit. The structure of the paper should be as follows:
The first page should include: Title in Spanish (centered and in bolt type, it should be highlighted with a larger font or size: 14); main author, coauthors (in bold type and italics); institution, institution address; country; phone number and email (in bold type).

Important information
The deadline to send the communications in their electronic versions and the curriculum-vitae-containing paper is January 15th, 2014.

The communications will be placed in the Congress website www.congreso-info.cu, as per the procedure established in its forms.

The professional program commission will inform of whether communications have been accepted or not, as well as of the form and place of presentation. Even if your communication is not accepted, you may participate at the congress as a delegate.

Those who are interested may propose the Organizing Committee forms of presentation to be evaluated for inclusion in the Program of the 13th Congress, until October 31st, 2013.

ExpoInfo 2014
In parallel with the Congress and the Workshop, there will be a RELATED EXHIBITION at Havana International Conference Center, which will foster a perfect framework tor information institutions, companies, business and consulting firms, and manufacturing or trading companies related to this matter to show and promote their products. An Exhibition of Information Products has been scheduled as part of the Show.
The indoor modular stand costs $110.00 CUC per m2. the national entities that do not trade in hard currency will pay the same amount of money in CUP, those entities that trade in hard currency will pay 50%. The location of the stand in the area of the show will be according to the order of reception of requests and upon approval by the Organizing Committee, for more information, please contact:

Exhibition of Computer Products

IDICT, like in previous occasions, invites all manufacturers of databases, multimedia and software used to manage and provide information services in libraries and information organizations to present their latest productions in order to show them at the exhibition that will take place as part of ExpoInfo 2014 Exhibition Show.


This Exhibition will be useful to facilitate the exchange between manufacturers and clients of the different electronic products used in the information activity.
The organizers will guarantee technological facilities at the area of the show, as well as a detailed schedule of those products to be exhibited during the Congress week.
