Taylor Schilling stars as Piper Chapman, a young woman whose seemingly perfect life is turned upside down when she must serve time in a federal penitentiary, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Schilling is known for her role as Veronica Flanagan Callahan on NBC’s “Mercy” and made her debut on the big screen in 2007 in Dark Matter, which co-starred Meryl Streep.
Recently, Schilling was seen in the Academy Award winning film Argo. She starred opposite Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman in the film that centers on the real-life C.I.A. plan to rescue a group of diplomats from Tehran after the 1979 Iranian revolution by claiming that they were part of a Hollywood movie crew shooting a film. Schilling played Christine Mendez, the wife of Affleck's character. The film was released on October 12, 2012.
Earlier in 2012, Schilling starred opposite Zac Efron in Scott Hicks’ highly anticipated Warner Brothers film The Lucky One. The film was based on the Nicholas Sparks novel about a Marine (Efron) who survives three tours in Iraq and attributes his good fortune to a photograph he carried of a woman he has never met (Schilling), whom he sets out to meet upon his return to North Carolina. The Lucky One was released on April 20, 2012.
Taylor grew up in Massachusetts and graduated in 2006 from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting. She entered New York University's Graduate Acting Program and left after her second year to pursue her acting career, landing “Mercy” within four months. She currently resides in New York City.

LAURA PREPON

Alex Vause” in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK


Laura Prepon stars as Alex Vause, Piper’s alluring international drug smuggler ex-girlfriend, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Laura Prepon is a versatile actress whose career spans both film and television.  She made her television debut on the long running sitcom "That 70's Show," where she portrayed Donna Pinciotti, the girlfriend of next door neighbor Eric Forman (Topher Grace).
Recently, Laura starred opposite Bryan Greenberg in The Kitchen. Prepon portrayed Jennifer, whose thirtieth birthday party is supposed to be special, but quickly spirals into a most ill-fated day she wishes she could forget. The Kitchen hit theaters in March of 2013.
In the fall of 2012, Prepon starred opposite Bruce Willis and Vince Vaughn in the film Lay the Favorite for Director Stephen Frears. Also in 2012, Laura starred in the NBC comedy “Are You There, Chelsea?” the series adaptation of comedian Chelsea Handler’s bestselling novel Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea. Prepon portrayed “Chelsea Hanson,” a free spirited cocktail waitress who loves alcohol and one-night stands.
Prepon recently made memorable guest appearances on “Castle”, “House”, and “How I Met Your Mother”.  She also starred in the ABC series “October Road,” opposite Bryan Greenberg. Prepon portrayed “Hannah,” a single mother and the ex-girlfriend of a successful author who returns home for the first time in ten years and finds that nothing is how he left it.
Prepon appeared opposite Ashley Judd in the critically acclaimed feature film Come Early Morning, which premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.  Prepon's other feature credits include Slackers opposite Jason Schwartzman; and Lightning Bug.
Prepon is also at ease behind the camera.  She directs, produces, and edits the comedic web series “Neighbros.”   The series is currently in development with a major cable network for a half hour scripted series.  Prepon added her first producer credits when she combined her passion for poker and entertainment in her own television show for E! Entertainment entitled "E's Hollywood Hold' Em."
Prepon was raised in Watchung, New Jersey, a short distance from New York City.  She is the youngest of five children and her desire to act began at 15.  In addition, Prepon has always had a passion to dance and has trained in ballet.
Although an east-coaster at heart, Prepon currently resides in Los Angeles.

KATE MULGREW

Galina ‘Red’ Reznikov” in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK

Kate Mulgrew stars as Galina “Red” Reznikov, the tough Russian prison chef who is always keeping score, in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Mulgrew is internationally recognized as “Captain Janeway,” the first female captain of the Starship Enterprise in “Star Trek: Voyager.” Her career spans film, television, and the stage. Classically trained, she received a Golden Globe nomination at the age of 23 when she portrayed “Mrs. Columbo,” the wife of the famous detective. Other notable television appearances include “Kate Loves A Mystery,” “Cheers,” ” Murphy Brown,” ” St. Elsewhere,” ” Ryan’s Hope,” ” The Black Donnellys,” ” Mercy,” “Warehouse 13,” and “NTSF:SD:SUV” for Adult Swim.
Film roles include Throw Momma from the Train, Star Trek: Nemesis, A Stranger is Watching and Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins and The Response.
Mulgrew has toured throughout the United States as Katherine Hepburn in her stage play, Tea at Five, for which she was nominated for Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel awards.
Other theater credits include Equus, The American Dream, The Sandbox, Iphigenia 2.0 (for which she won an Obie), Our Leading Lady, Black Comedy, and Titus Andronicus, all in New York. She performed in The Exonerated in London and regionally in The Royal Family, The Film Society, What the Butler Saw, Hedda Gabler, Measure for Measure, The Real Thing, Another Part Of The Forest, Major Barbara and Antony and Cleopatra.
She resides in New York City.

DANIELLE BROOKS

Tasha ‘Taystee’ Jefferson” in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK


Danielle Brooks stars as the always outspoken and sometimes outrageous Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black.”
Brooks was raised in South Carolina, and later moved to New York, where she studied at The Juilliard School. She began acting out of a desire to connect with diverse groups of people from all walks of life through the common thread of storytelling.
A few of Danielle’s previous acting roles include A Servant of Two Masters (Clarice) at The Shakespeare Theatre in DC, RENT at Hangar Theatre, Lake Coordination at New Theatre Workshop and “Modern Love” (Lifetime pilot).
In her spare time, Danielle continues her pursuit of the arts through teaching and community engagement. She has taught drama classes and singing with Artists Striving To End Poverty (ASTEP) in Homestead, Florida, The Snow College Drama Intensive in Ephraim, Utah, Arusha Arts Initiative in Tanzania, Africa, and The Kissimmee Drama Intensive in Florida.
Brooks resides in New York City.
